Our Parish Councillor

Lesley Clifford

My name is Lesley Clifford and in January of this year I joined BPC.  I have been assigned to represent Paxford in parish issues and I'm delighted to be able to do this.

I first moved to Blockley due to my husband's job relocation from the Midlands. Our intention was to remain here for three years and then move back, but that was over ten years ago and before I lost my heart to the Cotswolds.

I became interested in council matters mainly due to the increase in planning applications that were being received from large scale property developers wanting to build in and around the Cotswold areas, potentially threatening to blight the AONB.

Both my husband and I enjoy all things outdoors, wildlife, canoeing, walking and two years ago we did manage to complete the Cotswold Way, it took us eight days & my feet have never been the same since!

I am self employed and I work full-time as a hairdresser.

I have a grown up son who has two children of his own, a girl and a boy.

So I have many hats to wear. A wife, always a Mum, a Nan, and at other times I'm busy being creative in my job as a hairdresser and the next thing you know, I'm trying to arrange funding for new litter bins or playground equipment!

I am looking forward to working alongside the community of Paxford and assisting with any parish issues that may arise.  You are welcome to contact me by email.
